The Jordan Times

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Design And Development Bureau (KADDB) on Saturday announced that it had signed three cooperation agreements with Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and Tafileh Technical University.

The agreements aim at establishing cooperation between KADDB and the universities in the fields of consultancy and developing the potential to conduct technological and engineering research, according to a statement from the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The agreements will also enable cooperation in training and enhance the technical capabilities of all parties involved.

“KADDB will acquaint trainees with industrial processes in the presence of bureau personnel,” KADDB Director General Maj. Gen. Mohammad Farghal said.

He shed light on the “Future Scientists” initiative launched to create human capital in the field of defence technology, and prepare a generation of scientists that can face technological change, as part of the bureau’s adherence to fulfilling His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision.

Farghal reiterated the importance of cooperation between KADDB and the universities to establish a database of applied scientific research, noting that educational institutions do not possess the expensive facilities needed to apply theoretical sciences due to their high cost, Petra said.
