AMMAN — The national committee for drugs and psychotropic substances is reviewing a proposal to open a hospital to treat addicts, committee head Brig. Gen. Ziad Odwan said on Tuesday.
Odwan, who is also attorney general of the State Security Court, said in a meeting that the committee also planned a large-scale awareness campaign on the risks of drugs at schools and universities, in cooperation with the Higher Education Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The committee is tasked with drawing a policy to combat the spread of narcotics and hallucinogens.
