AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Thursday attended the opening of a three-day workshop for lawmakers on the legislative and monitoring role of the Chamber.
The event, currently being held at the Dead Sea, will address the role of the Lower House and its main tasks, and will see the participation of experts on the House’s monitoring role, its code of conduct and its relation with media outlets, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tarawneh said the Constitution put the Lower House at the top of the hierarchy of national policy making by tasking it with legislation.
