AMMAN — Interior Minister Ghaleb Zu’bi stressed the importance of boosting tourism in Jordan as it is a major contributor to the national economy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.

 

During a meeting held at the Interior Ministry to discuss the tourism sector in the Kingdom, Zu’bi reviewed the official procedures taken to enhance tourism, noting that tourism cannot be overlooked due to its role in promoting a comprehensive development.

 

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lina Annab outlined several necessary suggestions to improve the sector, such as speeding up the process of issuing tourists’ visas. She also commended the cadres of security departments as the “unsung heroes” who work hard to maintain public security and provide all necessary requirements for tourists around the clock.
