AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) has suspended 19 facilities, closed down two and issued 273 fines during 437 inspection visits carried out by administration personnel nationwide during the eid holiday, a JFDA official said on Thursday.
The official told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the administration plan during eid included a 24-hour shift programme for JFDA employees, noting that four facilities have been referred to court. He added that JFDA received 12 complaints, transferred five samples for laboratories and destroyed 16,820 kilogrammes of solid food items.
