Jordan stands at a 14.27 positivity rate — COVID-19

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 5,175 new COVID-19 cases and 10 new deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to 13,014 and the total number of cases to 1,111,181.
 
 
The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,069 cases, while Zarqa recorded 614 cases. Irbid registered 478 cases, Balqa 338 cases, Karak recorded 74 cases, Jerash recorded 146 cases, and Tafileh recorded 15 cases. Madaba registered 98 cases, Aqaba 44 , Ramtha 56, and Ajloun 53.
 
The ministry said in a statement that 116 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 107 new patients were admitted.
 
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 33,245 according to the ministry. Out of 36,264 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 14.27 percent of them came back positive.
