AMMAN — UNESCO Amman office on Wednesday launched the “Youth Media Perceptions” discussion papers, as part of an initiative under the regional EU-funded “Networks of Mediterranean Youth (NET-MED)” project, implemented by UNESCO in partnership with youth organisations, institutions and partners across Jordan.

 

Attended by the Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Al Momani and EU ambassador to Jordan, Andrea Matteo Fontana, the launch gathered some 120 media professionals, government and civil society organisations, as well as representatives from UN agencies, a UNESCO statement said.

 

The papers highlighted the importance of fair and objective coverage of youth news, achievements and perspectives in mainstream media while ensuring their rights.
