The Jordan Times

AMMAN — Canada’s Ambassador to Jordan Peter MacDougall held an open discussion with residents of Ajloun and Deir Alla, and beneficiaries of the Sustainable Environment and Economic Development Project (SEED) on Saturday.

The session took place in Ajloun, 70 kilometres northwest of Amman, where a number of officials from the governorate, the New Maadi Municipality and SEED’s Director Mohammad Ramadan were shown a short video highlighting Canada’s support for the project, according to a statement from SEED.

Ghaida Monay, a beneficiary of the project and female energy ambassador in Ajloun, also spoke about her experience with SEED’s training courses.
Another beneficiary and founder of an initiative called “Save it the right way”, Manar Naim, told the ambassador that without SEED her initiative would have never taken off. Her project was launched in Ramadan and now operates in both Ajloun and Deir Alla.

The ambassador concluded the discussion by thanking the beneficiaries and partners for their feedback. He also thanked the SEED team for their efforts and accomplishments.
