AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah met with Japan Defence Minister Koizumi Shinjiro in Tokyo on Monday to discuss the latest developments in the region, and opportunities to enhance military cooperation between Jordan and Japan.
The meeting also addressed efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, and the need for all parties to adhere to the agreement to end the war on Gaza, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip, according to a Royal Court statement.
For his part, Minister Koizumi praised the strong ties between Jordan and Japan, commending the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by HRH Prince Ghazi , His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy; Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi; Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh; and Jordan’s Ambassador to Japan Nasser Shraideh.
