Amman — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday launched a personal Twitter account.

 

"This is Abdullah Bin Al Hussein, a father and a proud Jordanian. Pleased to be with you on Twitter,” His Majesty tweeted under the handle @KingAbdullahII.

 

Social media platforms have grown in importance over the past few years, garnering a growing number of users and followers, especially young people.

 

The account can be reached via the link (https://twitter.com/KingAbdullahII).

 

Within hours, the number of followers reached 12,000 from across the board.
