AMMAN — Deputising for Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, Minister of Health Ghazi Zaben inaugurated on Thursday a new intensive care unit (ICU) at the Jordan University Hospital (JUH).

 

The ICU was established with support from the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation as well as the Arab Potash Company, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

Zaben stressed the importance of continuing to improve the ICU, which constitutes a qualitative leap meant to contribute to further advancing the JUH’s services.

 

Abdel Kareem Qudah, the University of Jordan’s president, said that the JUH provided the ICU with state-of-the-art medical equipment to provide patients suffering from critical conditions or who have undergone critical operations with maximum care.
