Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday approved a new government with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu retaining their posts.

 

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov held onto his post and was promoted to the position of first deputy prime minister in the government for Putin's fourth Kremlin term, the government announced in a televised meeting.
