AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Thursday conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Abdullah to Lebanese President Gen. Joseph Aoun, reaffirming Jordan support for Lebanon, its security, stability and sovereignty, as well as efforts to strengthen state institutions.

The remarks came during talks at the Presidential Palace in Baabda, where President Aoun asked Hassan to convey his greetings to King Abdullah and expressed appreciation for the support Jordan provides to Lebanon across various sectors, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The talks also stressed that security and stability in Syria are in the interest of the region and both countries, including the completion of joint projects.

As part of his official visit, Hassan later met Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri in Beirut, with the talks underscoring the depth of fraternal ties and the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in ways that serve mutual interests.

Hassan reiterated Jordan support for Lebanon efforts to preserve security, stability and sovereignty and to advance prosperity for its people. Berri, in turn, expressed appreciation for Jordan positions in support of Lebanon.
