AMMAN — A military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces -Arab Army (JAF) has “categorically” denied reports alleging that Iraq had been attacked by aircraft and drones launched from Jordanian territory.

 

In a statement late on Monday, the source rejected the claims as “false and baseless,” stressing that Jordan’s position remains firm and unchanged.

 

The source emphasised that the Kingdom “will not be a battleground for anyone” and will not permit any party to endanger its citizens or compromise the safety of its territory or airspace.

 

The source added that the armed forces are taking all necessary measures to counter any attempts that threaten the nation’s security and stability, warning that any effort to target the country would be met with a firm response.
