Safadi reiterates Jordan’s condemnation of ‘terrorist’ Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi on Saturday condemned attacks by the “terrorist Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia,” reaffirming Jordan’s full solidarity with the kingdom and support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Safadi’s remarks came during a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud, during which the two ministers discussed developments in the region and efforts to de-escalate tensions, restore calm and contain crises.

The two top diplomats also discussed efforts to limit the negative repercussions of regional developments on regional and international security, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

The two ministers stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation on current challenges to strengthen the security of regional countries and safeguard the interests of their peoples.

They also affirmed the solidarity of the two kingdoms in confronting anything that could undermine their security and stability.
