AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday discussed bilateral relations and key regional developments, with a particular focus on Gaza, the West Bank and Syria.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement, the two ministers, during a phone call, underscored the importance of full adherence to the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the commencement of its second phase, stressing the need for intensified international and regional efforts to curb what they described as a dangerous Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank.
The call also covered developments in Syria, with Safadi and Fidan reaffirming continued coordination and cooperation in support of the country and the efforts of its government to advance reconstruction and protect security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, while ensuring the safety of its citizens.
