AMMAN — The Jordanian Field Hospital in northern Gaza continues its humanitarian and medical work by supporting the efforts of the Jordanian Field Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, following its relocation from its previous site in Tel al Hawa.
The step forms part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people and stand by them amid the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement.
The force commander of the North Gaza Field Hospital said that its medical and nursing teams have joined counterparts at the South Gaza Hospital and continue to work around the clock, delivering comprehensive healthcare, treating the injured and patients, performing surgeries, and providing essential medicines and treatments.
He added that these efforts aim to improve health services and ease the suffering of residents amid rising medical needs.
Residents of Khan Younis expressed their appreciation for Jordan’s humanitarian efforts, commending the professionalism of the Jordanian medical staff and their ongoing work to provide medical equipment and resources that enhance healthcare services in the Gaza Strip.
The Jordanian Field Hospital in northern Gaza handled more than 34,000 medical cases and carried out over 220 major and minor surgeries during its operation in Tel al Hawa, from the start of its mission on 12 August until its relocation to Khan Younis on 22 September.
