AMMAN — The Eastern Military Zone on Friday foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics carried by guided balloons across its area of responsibility.

 

Border Guard units detected the balloons through surveillance and intercepted them, forcing the payload to drop inside Jordanian territory in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.

 

The seized materials were referred to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
