AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Saturday held a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss regional developments and efforts to promote security and stability.
Safadi condemned the drone attack targeting the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions, reiterating Jordan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its measures to safeguard its security, stability and national interests, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The two ministers stressed the importance of supporting regional de-escalation efforts and addressing the root causes of tension.
They also reiterated continued coordination on regional issues and efforts to strengthen Jordan-Saudi relations.

Also on Saturday, Safadi held a phone call with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al Thani.
The two ministers stressed the need to support efforts to end regional escalation through a comprehensive solution that addresses its causes and ensures sustainable security and stability.
They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern and reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination and strengthening Jordan-Qatar relations.
