AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Sunday received United States Senator Joni Ernst, and her accompanying delegation.

 

During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, the Crown Prince emphasised the importance of de-escalating tensions in order to achieve regional and international stability, underscoring Jordan’s commitment to supporting efforts to bring about comprehensive calm in the region, according to a Royal Court statement.

 

His Royal Highness also warned of the dangerous situation in the West Bank and Gaza, stressing the need to commit to implementing all phases of the peace plan in the Strip.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain attended the meeting.
