“Two hooded men entered the branch at around 11:30, and one of the suspects fired several warning shots, while the second man headed towards the teller and robbed a small amount of cash,” according to the JCB’s statement.

The JCB stressed in the statement that “these incidents are isolated events that do not reflect the morals and values of the Jordanian society”.

The bank pledged its commitment to serving the public and its customers, and to providing banking services at its branch in Mafraq Governorate to its residents and valued clients, the statement added.

The bank statement also praised the PSD’s efforts, which consistently embody the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah to safeguard the security and well-being of citizens in our beloved country.

Video clips circulated on social media showed two hooded men reportedly inside what they said was the branch and waving a weapon, while carrying a bag.

Three customers who were standing at the counter were seen running away when they saw the hooded men storming the bank.

One of the suspects, who was holding a dark bag in his hand, is reportedly seen jumping over the counter, then jumping back towards the door with a dark bag in his hand.
