Domestic revenues reach JD5.625b as Jordan’s economy shows resilience — official figures

The Jordan Times

AMMAN — The Kingdom’s domestic revenues increased by around JD107 million, or 1.9 per cent, by the end of July 2026, reaching JD5.625 billion compared with JD5.518 billion during the same period in 2025, according to public finance data.

The figures showed that domestic revenues have recovered to collection levels recorded before the security disturbances that affected the region in recent months, while maintaining positive performance through the end of July, with revenues rising by nearly 2 per cent, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The recovery in the pace of growth reflects the resilience of the Jordanian economy and its ability to withstand regional challenges, alongside a gradual improvement in economic activity and the efficiency of tax administration and collection.

The increase was driven by a rise of around JD32 million in tax revenues, which reached JD4.126 billion by the end of July, while non-tax revenues increased by around JD75 million to JD1.498 billion.

The growth reflects continued improvements in collection efficiency and an expansion of the tax base, according to the data.
