AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah on Monday met with Qatari Undersecretary of the Interior Abdullah Kaabi over enhancing cooperation in policing and security, sharing best practices and improving institutional efficiency and readiness.

 

During his visit to Doha, Maaytah inspected the General Directorate for Drug Control to review anti-narcotics operations and visited the General Directorate of Civil Defence to observe emergency response systems, public safety procedures, and crisis management operations.

 

He also toured the National Command Centre and the Qatar Police Academy, reviewing modern training programmes and methods for preparing security personnel according to international standards.

 

Maaytah highlighted the depth of Jordan-Qatar relations and praised Qatar’s advanced security practices. Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination to ensure the security and stability of the two countries.
