AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan met on Wednesday with a delegation of British parliamentarians and representatives of the Conservative Middle East Council (CMEC).

 

Discussions focused on cooperation and partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom, as well as prospects for strengthening economic and development cooperation between the two countries, according to a ministry statement.

 

Toukan reaffirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom, expressing appreciation for the UK's support for Jordan and its development priorities.

 

She also highlighted the government's priorities under the Economic Modernisation Vision and the key development and investment projects currently being implemented, the statement said.

 

The minister stressed the importance of strengthening private-sector partnerships and promoting investment opportunities across Jordan's priority sectors.

 

She also highlighted the significance of the forthcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference 2026, which Jordan will host in November, in fostering economic partnerships between the two countries.
