AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) said on Monday it had dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to Syria, consisting of 16 trucks carrying 32 mobile housing units (caravans).

 

JHCO said in a statement that the convoy was in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army and it was part of Jordan’s continued support for the Syrian people.

 

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli was quoted in the statement as saying that the shipment was part of Jordan's ongoing humanitarian efforts to assist Syrians and it reflects the Kingdom's commitment to delivering organised aid to the country's most vulnerable communities.

 

“Jordan, in coordination with its partners, has continued to send convoys carrying food aid, relief supplies, medicines, medical equipment and supplies, flour, food parcels, ambulances and mobile housing units,” Shibli said.

 

He added that Jordan's humanitarian assistance extends beyond emergency relief to supporting Syria's recovery and promoting stability.

 

Since December 2024, Jordan has dispatched around 23 humanitarian aid convoys to Syria, comprising a total of 1,072 trucks, as part of its sustained efforts to meet humanitarian needs and support the Syrian people, the statement said.
