AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday met with Commander of the US Central Command (USCENTCOM) Gen. Michael Kurilla over ways to boost military cooperation and address regional security challenges.

 

Huneiti and Kurilla discussed the ongoing efforts aimed at enhancing regional and security cooperation, the latest developments in the region, and aspects of collaboration and coordination in several areas that serve the armed forces of the two countries, according to a statement by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).

 

The meeting also addressed the strategic relationship between the two nations and the importance of unifying international efforts to achieve security and peace in the region.

 

Several high-ranking JAF officers and the US defence attaché in Amman attended the meeting.
