The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) has resumed its course toward the shores of Gaza after several hours of uncertainty following a direct confrontation with what is likely an ‘Israeli’ warship.
The ‘Israeli’ warship performed what was described by people on board "hostile maneuver," approaching within a dangerous distance of just five feet from the flotilla's lead ship, the "Alma."
The incident coincided with a complete loss of communication with the crew of the "Alma," which raised fears that it was being intercepted.
In preparation for such a scenario, participants aboard the "Alma" had thrown their phones into the sea as a precaution, and the entire flotilla was on "maximum alert."
Journey Resumes
After the ‘Israeli’ warship left the area, communication with the "Alma" was restored, and the flotilla announced it would continue its journey.
The organizers confirmed their determination to complete their humanitarian mission, especially as they approached the 120-nautical-mile mark, a zone that has seen previous interceptions.
