Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the official recognition of the State of Palestine by the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, emphasizing that this stance aligns with growing international support for ending the ‘Israeli’ occupation.
The new recognition works on solidifying the Palestinian people’s inalienable entitlement to establish a nation “based on the two-state solution.”
Ministry spokesperson Fuad Al-Majali praised the positions of these three countries, describing them as a clear affirmation and support for international efforts to recognize Palestine along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Al-Majali reiterated Jordan’s steadfast commitment to working with regional and international partners to support the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom, end the occupation, establish an independent Palestinian state on their national territory, halt crimes against them, and hold perpetrators accountable.
