AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Tuesday conducted an inspection tour of development, health and education projects in Ajloun and Irbid governorates.
Hassan began his tour in the Sakhrah district with a visit to Dorat Ammon Food Industries Company, directing officials to provide the necessary support to complete the company’s expansion and relocation to a new site in 2026, according to a Prime Ministry statement.
The expansion aims to boost production and exports and integrate the company into the food industries incentive programme, helping to double job opportunities for local residents.
He also visited a traditional garments factory in Sakhrah and instructed authorities to facilitate the establishment of a new factory in 2026, expected to create 1,200 jobs.
The prime minister called for expanding health insurance coverage for employees in production branches and broadening vocational training programmes, including the introduction of specialised courses in garment manufacturing to enhance workers’ skills.
In Irbid’s Northern Mazaar district, Hassan visited the Erhaba Charitable Society and directed a comprehensive rehabilitation of its facilities, along with the provision of necessary equipment to enable the society to expand its services to a wider segment of beneficiaries.
He also ordered the upgrade of Erhaba Primary Health Centre to a comprehensive health centre operating around the clock to improve and expand medical services in the area.
During his tour, Hassan inspected Samad and Al Zaatari Primary Health Centre in Northern Mazaar, instructing officials to expedite the provision of an alternative building and carry out essential maintenance to the current premises pending relocation.
The prime minister concluded his tour with a visit to Erhaba Comprehensive Secondary School for Girls, directing a full renovation of the school, rehabilitation of its facilities and the provision of modern laboratory equipment to enhance the learning environment.
