AMMAN — Fifteen Jordanian food manufacturing companies participated on Saturday in SIAL Paris 2026, an international food exhibition held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.

The Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) organised Jordan’s participation through a national pavilion at the three-day exhibition, aiming to strengthen the presence of Jordanian products in international markets, open new export channels and expand trade partnerships.

The participating companies showcased a diverse range of products, including chocolate, sweets, halva, tahini, sesame products, Arabic and Eastern sweets, dates, canned food, canned fish, spices, condiments, legumes, staple food items, coffee, roasted products, packaging products and food preparation ingredients, according to a JEA statement.

JEA President Ahmad Khudari said that the exhibition provided an opportunity to showcase the quality and diversity of Jordanian products and their ability to meet international market requirements in terms of quality, standards and competitiveness.

He added that the participation of 15 companies reflected the food manufacturing sector’s commitment to using specialised international exhibitions to establish commercial partnerships and connect directly with importers and distributors.

Khudari also said that boosting Jordanian products’ presence in European and other international markets required sustained promotional efforts, wider trade networks and building on the reputation of the national food industry.

JEA Director General Haleem Abu Rahmeh highlighted the association’s efforts to support Jordanian companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, in participating in specialised international exhibitions to expand into foreign markets and benefit from trade opportunities.

He said that the exhibition enabled Jordanian companies to connect directly with major importers, distributors and representatives of global retail chains, while keeping abreast of the latest trends in food manufacturing, processing and packaging technologies.

Abu Rahmeh said Jordan’s participation aimed to turn business meetings into partnerships and agreements, boost Jordanian exports, open new markets for the food industry and support economic growth.

Held every two years, SIAL Paris is one of the leading international exhibitions specialising in the food and beverage industries. It brings together food producers, exporters and distributors from around the world, providing a platform to showcase new products, establish commercial partnerships and explore the latest innovations in the sector.
