AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Tuesday that they had not dealt with any missiles or drones targeting the Kingdom over the past 24 hours.
The JAF Media Directorate said in a joint statement with the Public Security Directorate (PSD) that no targeting attempts were recorded in Jordan’s territory or airspace since Monday.
They added that sounds of explosions in the sky and the fall of some debris in border areas were the result of interceptions originating from west of the Kingdom’s borders.
PSD said that specialised teams from the armed forces and public security dealt with falling objects over the past 24 hours.
The directorate added that eight reports of falling debris or projectiles were handled, resulting in one injury in Aqaba. The injured person received treatment at the scene and was reported to be in good condition.
He also said that limited material damage was reported in the southern port city of Aqaba and Karak.
