An “Israeli” official disclosed that Tel Aviv did not inform Washington about the recent airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, with communication occurring only after the attack, according to Hebrew site Walla.
In response, the White House stated that it was not aware of any prior notification regarding “Israel's” strikes on Beirut.
The administration reiterated its belief that a diplomatic solution in the Middle East is the best path forward, emphasizing that it does not seek escalation or the opening of a new front in the region.
Additionally, the White House issued a travel advisory, urging Americans to avoid traveling to Lebanon.
