AMMAN — A ministerial delegation is continuing its European tour in preparation for the Jordan–EU Investment Conference, scheduled to take place in Jordan next April under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah.

The delegation includes Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Khaled Qadi, according to an Investment Ministry statement.

In the Netherlands, the delegation held a high-level dialogue attended by Dutch Minister for Trade and Development Ockje de Vries, Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Stella Korth, and representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, financing institution Invest International, the Dutch Business Council for the Middle East and North Africa, and various Dutch economic and private-sector organisations.

During the meeting, the Jordanian delegation highlighted the Kingdom’s competitive advantages for investment, opportunities to expand economic partnerships, and ways to turn Jordan–EU cooperation into implementable development and investment projects that support economic growth and sustainable development.

Toukan underscored the strategic partnership between Jordan and the EU, rooted in historical ties and shared humanitarian values, and stressed the need to strengthen development cooperation to support Jordan’s national priorities and sustainable growth.

Abu Ghazaleh emphasised Jordan’s stable investment environment, noting the opportunities offered by a skilled workforce and diverse natural resources, as well as government efforts to streamline procedures, foster public-private collaboration, and prioritise projects with lasting economic impact.

Qadi highlighted the long-standing diplomatic relations between Jordan and the Netherlands, which span more than 75 years, and stressed the importance of building on these ties to create new opportunities for economic and investment cooperation.

Dutch officials expressed strong interest in exploring opportunities within Jordan’s investment environment, particularly ahead of the Jordan–EU Investment Conference, which is expected to serve as a key platform for strengthening economic and investment ties between the Kingdom and the EU.
