AMMAN — Jordan has “strongly”condemned Israel's recent attack against Iran, calling it a blatant violation of the sovereignty of a United Nations member state and a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter.
In a statement on Friday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah warned that the attack threatens regional security and stability, and increases tensions in the region.
Qudah underlined the need for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to act “swiftly” to end such violations and prevent their recurrence, urging a concerted effort to avoid further escalation in the region.
