Senate president meets with Bahraini Crown Prince in Manama

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez and an accompanying delegation on Monday met with Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, during an official visit to Bahrain.
 
During the meeting, Fayez conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman, wishing Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity, according to the Jordan news agency, Petra.
 
The meeting, attended by a number of Jordanian senators and Bahraini officials, as well as Jordan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Rami Wreikat, also addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual concern.
 
Highlighting the strength of Jordanian-Bahraini relations, the Bahraini crown prince stressed the importance of continued coordination and joint action between the two countries, particularly in the parliamentary and legislative fields.
 
He also commended Jordan’s supportive positions towards Bahrain, reaffirming Bahrain’s support for the Kingdom in all measures aimed at safeguarding its security, stability and sovereignty.
 
The talks also addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations, in addition to regional and international developments of mutual concern.
 
Commending the continued efforts of Bahraini Crown Prince to strengthen Jordanian-Bahraini cooperation, Fayez expressed his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
 
He also highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and the cooperation across various fields, noting that the relationship is based on mutual respect and shared interests.
 
Fayez said that his visit to Bahrain comes as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in the economic, investment and parliamentary fields.
 
“Jordanian-Bahraini relations continue to receive the support and attention of His Majesty King Abdullah and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, contributing to the continued development of cooperation across various fields, “he said.
 
Fayez also stressed that Jordan and Bahrain continue to stand together in confronting regional challenges and supporting security and stability in the region, noting that the two countries share common positions on Arab and regional issues, particularly the Palestinian issue, support for a just peace and confronting shared challenges.
 
Regarding the Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain and Gulf states, Fayez said Jordan had condemned the attacks, noting that His Majesty King Abdullah had described them as “unacceptable and condemned attacks”.
 
He stressed that the security and stability of Bahrain and the Gulf states are integral to Jordan’s own security and stability, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to Bahrain’s security, unity and stability.
 
Fayez also noted that the Arab world is facing multiple challenges and crises that require greater Arab coordination and solidarity in confronting attempts to undermine regional security and stability.
 
Fayez also held talks in Manama with Chairman of the Bahraini Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam.
 
The discussions took place during an official visit by Fayez and an accompanying Senate delegation to Bahrain, following an invitation from the Chairman of the Shura Council, Petra, reported.
 
The meetings focused on bolstering Jordanian-Bahraini relations across various sectors and addressing current regional developments, specifically Iranian aggressions against Jordan, Bahrain, and the wider Arab Gulf region.
 
Both sides noted the continuous development and mutual coordination fostered under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah and His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
 
Fayez emphasised that the relationship between the two nations is solid and enduring, stressing the need to expand parliamentary cooperation to unify positions on issues of mutual concern, rooted in a shared destiny and the necessity of Arab unity.
 
He commended Bahrain’s comprehensive development under the leadership of King Hamad, while noting that Jordan, despite its political and security resilience, faces economic challenges exacerbated by regional conflicts, expansionist Israeli policies, and cross-border drug smuggling.
 
Fayez called for a supportive Arab stance to help Jordan mitigate the economic burdens imposed by the current regional reality.
