Company registrations up 49% since 2019 — CCD

AMMAN — The number of companies registered in the Kingdom increased by 49 per cent between January and October 2025 compared with the same period in 2019, and by 19 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2024, according to official figures from the Companies Control Department (CCD).
 
According to the CCD data, a total of 6,341 companies were registered during the first ten months of 2025, up from 4,266 in 2019 and 5,334 in 2024. The total registered capital of these new companies exceeded JD356 million.
 
Limited liability companies accounted for the largest share of new registrations, with 4,597 companies representing 72.5 per cent of the total and a combined capital exceeding JD114 million. In terms of capital, private shareholding companies led the list, with registered capital surpassing JD156 million since the start of the year.
 
The report also revealed a sharp decline in company closures and deregistrations, dropping 74 per cent compared with 2019 levels and 31 per cent compared with the same period last year.
 
The net increase in registered capital jumped 756 per cent compared with 2019 and 151 per cent against the same period in 2024.
