AMMAN — In its efforts to combat the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health has shared the results of COVID-19 tests, whether positive or negative, by SMS. Head of Health Ministry’s Digital Transformation and Information Technology Department Fatima Hammad on Thursday said that automating COVID-19 test results is intended to achieve timely notification of results and ensure immediate quarantine measures to curb the spread of new infections.

 

If the result is positive, the system will relay self-isolation tips and advice, as well as provide patients with the ministry’s numbers for help and emergencies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

The automated process includes all the Kingdom’s laboratories conducting COVID-19 tests, public and private, a move made to create a national database for all COVID-19 tests, the official added.
