The "Israeli" newspaper Haaretz reported, citing an official source, that Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuses to move forward with the second phase of the Gaza agreement as long as Hamas continues to control the strip.

 

According to the source, Netanyahu will not withdraw the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) from the Philadelphi Route and will not continue implementing the ceasefire agreement as long as Hamas is present.

 

The source also suggested that Netanyahu may either resume the war or extend the first phase of the agreement instead of proceeding with the second phase.

 

Additionally, the source stated that the occupation might agree to withdraw from the Philadelphi Route and the buffer zone if Hamas agrees to exile its leaders and anyone associated with it from the strip.
