Hamas has strongly condemned the horrific massacre in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis in Gaza, labeling it a dangerous escalation in a series of unprecedented crimes and massacres in the history of warfare, carried out by the new Nazis.

In a statement, Hamas declared, "This heinous massacre perpetrated by the Zionist occupation army targeted the Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, an area designated by the Israeli Occupation Forces as safe zones where civilians were urged to seek refuge. Israeli warplanes, artillery, and drones intensively and systematically targeted the tents of displaced civilians with various weapons, resulting in hundreds of innocent civilian deaths and injuries."

The statement refuted Israeli Occupation claims of targeting leadership figures, labeling them as false assertions that have been repeatedly debunked in the past. Hamas emphasized that such false claims are attempts to cover up the scale of the horrendous massacre.

Hamas further stated, "The massacre in Mawasi, Khan Yunis, which targeted an area housing over 80,000 displaced persons, is a clear confirmation of the Zionist government's commitment to its campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people. This is evidenced by repeated and deliberate targeting of innocent civilians in tents, displacement centers, and residential neighborhoods, committing the most heinous crimes against them, without regard for calls to cease targeting innocent civilians or adherence to any laws of war designed to protect them."

Hamas criticized the flagrant disregard for international law and treaties, as well as widespread violations against innocent civilians, which would not persist without the support provided by the US administration to the extremist Zionist government and its terrorist army.

It added that this support includes covering up its crimes and providing political and military backing, thereby thwarting international justice from fulfilling its role in addressing these crimes, making it fully complicit in them.
