Trump puts Gaza under control of ‘Israel’-backed politicians

Trump’s “Board of Peace” includes politicians and businessmen linked to 'Israel’s' attacks, with no Palestinian representation.

Members have histories of supporting, profiting from, or enabling 'Israel’s' military actions and land seizures in Gaza.

US President Donald Trump has announced a new “Board of Peace” intended to govern Gaza. The Board is made up entirely of politicians and businessmen who have previously supported or benefited from 'Israel’s' oppression of Palestinians. No Palestinian voices are included.

Benjamin Netanyahu: War crimes
'Israel’s' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes against humanity, is part of the Board. In September 2025, he stated, “There will be no Palestinian state,” reflecting continued denial of Palestinian sovereignty.

Jared Kushner: Profiting from occupation
Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, an investor and former senior advisor, has promoted policies favoring permanent 'Israeli' control over Palestinian land. He backed moving the US embassy to Jerusalem and has donated to illegal settlements. In March 2024, Kushner suggested relocating Gazans from waterfront properties to “clean it up,” framing human displacement as an economic opportunity.

Tony Blair: Statehood obstruction
Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair oversaw policies that denied Palestinians statehood and furthered 'Israel’s' occupation. He was also a key architect of the US-British invasion of Iraq, widely criticized as illegal.

Marco Rubio: Supporting military aggression
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has funded and backed 'Israel’s' military campaigns in Gaza. He opposed ceasefires and promoted policies accelerating land seizures and settlement expansion. Rubio has also targeted activists speaking for Palestinian rights, including efforts against Mahmoud Khalil.

Steve Witkoff: Advocating displacement
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff helped negotiate the so-called “ceasefire,” which failed to lift Gaza’s blockade or end military occupation. He has publicly justified the displacement of Palestinians, stating in February 2025 that “a better life (for Palestinians) is not necessarily tied to the physical space that [they] are in today.”

Global network of opportunists
The Board reportedly includes leaders and businessmen from at least 24 countries, including authoritarian figures and individuals who have profited from 'Israel’s' military campaigns in Gaza. Critics warn the Board undermines Palestinian self-determination.

“None of them should be dictating the future for Palestinians. That’s up for Palestinians to decide,” said a human rights advocate.

The announcement has provoked international concern, with rights groups highlighting the exclusion of Palestinian voices and the potential for further violations of international law.
