Former "Israeli" Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced his resignation from the Knesset two months after being dismissed from his position.

 

Following his dismissal in November, Gallant stated that Tel Aviv is navigating through the "fog of battle" and "moral darkness," calling for the return of prisoners and for legislation to draft ultra-Orthodox Jews. He also urged the formation of a committee to investigate the failures of Oct. 7, 2023, and ended his statement with a military salute.

 

Gallant also mentioned that both he and Netanyahu should be investigated, referring to the widespread criticism faced by Netanyahu for not taking responsibility for one of the largest disasters in Tel Aviv's history.
