‘Israeli’ military operations widened across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, with Hebrew and local media reporting a new wave of airstrikes targeting several locations in the central and southern parts of the enclave.
Channel 12 reported that the ‘Israeli’ army “is carrying out additional attacks now on Gaza,” confirming that the escalation has extended beyond the earlier strike in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal neighborhood.
‘Israeli’ Army Radio also announced that an airstrike was launched on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Local sources provided further details, saying the attack struck the area surrounding the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque west of the city.
In another incident, residents in the Nuseirat refugee camp reported that ‘Israeli’ aircraft carried out two airstrikes targeting a residential house in the central Gaza Strip. The strikes caused significant damage, with emergency crews deployed to the scene.
Details regarding casualties from the latest series of attacks were not immediately available.
The new wave of strikes comes amid heightened tension and ongoing concerns about the fragility of the current ceasefire framework, with local authorities warning that renewed military activity risks further destabilizing the situation on the ground.
