AMMAN — A female student died of a bullet wound after a person fired at her from inside a private university in Northern Amman on Thursday, according to a statement by the Public Security Directorate (PSD).

 

Amer Al-Sartawi, PSD spokesperson, stated that security services have begun conducting their investigation to determine the perpetrator's identity and, subsequently, his arrest, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

 

In a statement, Applied Science Private University named the deceased student, who was studying at the College of Nursing, and pledged to "prosecute anyone who has caused this painful incident so that he can receive fair retribution for his heinous crime".

 

The student was ambulated to the hospital in poor condition after being shot and pronounced dead shortly after.
