The Arab League announced a renewed commitment to boycott companies affiliated with the Israeli Occupation and target those involved in illegal Jewish-only settlements in the occupied territories.

During the Arab League's 96th conference of the Liaison Officers of Arab Regional Offices on Boycott of “Israel”, delegates affirmed their decision to enforce strict measures against companies violating Arab boycott regulations.

Participants highlighted the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement's role in confronting Israeli Occupation and apartheid.

They underscored the importance of cooperation between the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to strengthen boycott mechanisms on regional and international levels.

The conference urged the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) to update its "blacklist" of companies operating in illegal “Israeli” settlements, aligning with Council resolution 31/36 of 2016. This measure aims to hold accountable companies complicit in activities deemed unlawful under international law.

Furthermore, the conference denounced legislative attempts to criminalize BDS activities, citing recent laws in the UK, Germany, and several US states that restrict boycott actions against “Israel”.

It called for international bodies like FIFA and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to consider banning “Israeli” participation in sporting events due to alleged human rights violations in Gaza.
