The Jordan team competing at this summer’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be flying in on easyJet, the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) announced on Monday. The JOC has signed an agreement with the British airline which will carry the team members along with key support staff. British Ambassador Peter Millett said: “We are delighted that easyJet, a British airline, is announced as the official carrier for the Jordan Olympics and Paralympics teams that will participate in London. Such partnerships confirm the close relationship between both countries.” Lana Al Jaghbeer, secretary general of the Jordan Olympic Committee, said: “We are looking forward to working with easyJet to ensure our delegations receive the best start to their Olympic experience in London.” Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s UK and Middle East commercial manager, said: “As per easyJet’s offer to customers, we will make it easy and affordable for the Jordan Olympic and Paralympic teams to travel to London.”
