Trump urges end to Gaza war before meeting Netanyahu

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, called for a swift end to the Israeli Occupation's war on Gaza and the retrieval of captives just a day before his scheduled meeting with Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Trump also stated that "Israel" should improve its public relations management.

Trump criticized those who protested Netanyahu's speech to the U.S. Congress, suggesting that individuals who desecrate the American flag should be imprisoned for a year.

Following his speech defending the war in Gaza, Netanyahu is set to meet U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington. Unlike the Congress reception, these meetings are not expected to be as congenial.

President Biden aims to apply more pressure on Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire agreement in the destructive war that has raged for over nine months between the Israeli Occupation forces and Hamas in Gaza. Whether Netanyahu, who has a contentious relationship with the Democratic president, will comply with this request remains uncertain, especially with Biden's term nearing its end.

Biden has consistently supported "Israel" since the war began but has increasingly criticized the Israeli Occupation as civilian casualties in Gaza mount. After meeting Biden and Harris, Netanyahu will head to Florida to meet Trump, who extended the invitation. Netanyahu expressed gratitude to the former Republican president during his Congress speech.
