AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Tuesday met French Ambassador to Jordan Veronique Vouland over advancing bilateral cooperation in security-related fields and the latest regional developments.
Hammad, during the meeting, highlighted the importance of joint coordination in fighting terrorism, extremism and crime through comprehensive strategies and developing intensive training programmes. Talks also touched on the Jordanian experience in hosting Syrian refugees and its impact on the Kingdom’s resources, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The French diplomat lauded the Kingdom's role in countering terrorism and crime, as well as efforts to maintain regional security and stability. She also highlighted the importance of Jordanian-French partnership, calling for activating bilateral cooperation that serves the best interest of the two peoples.
