AMMAN —The Foreign Ministry has condemned the attack that targeted two sites at the northern border posts of Kuwait with two drones launched from Iraq.

In a statement on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's “absolute solidarity with the government and people of Kuwait.”

The ministry expressed Jordan's full support for all measures taken by Kuwait to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.

The statement also underlined Jordan’s firm rejection and condemnation of all violations of state sovereignty and attempts to threaten regional security and stability.

The Kuwaiti military said on Friday that two drones coming from the direction of neighbouring Iraq struck border posts on its northern frontier with the country, causing damage but no casualties.

"This morning, two of Kuwait's northern land border posts were targeted in a criminal act of aggression involving two explosive-laden drones guided by fibre-optic cables, originating from the Republic of Iraq, resulting in material damage but... no human casualties," the military said in a statement on X, cited by AFP.
