AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah sent a cable to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the 37th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the State of Palestine, in which he reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to continue supporting Palestinians as they seek their legitimate rights, according to a Royal Court statement.

 

His Majesty reiterated the necessity of creating a political horizon for the Palestinian issue to achieve peace on the basis of the two-state solution, and stressed the need to ensure all parties fully adhere to the agreement to end the war on Gaza, and amplify the international humanitarian response and the flow of aid.
