“Israeli” airstrikes targeted Sunday key infrastructure in the Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeidah in Yemen.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) released a statement saying its air force attacked targets in Yemen about 1,800 kilometers from “Israel’s” borders.

“In a large-scale air operation today , dozens of air force aircraft, including fighter jets, refueling and intelligence planes, under the direction of the intelligence wing, attacked military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the areas of Ras Issa and Hodeidah in Yemen,” the statement said.

The strikes targeted the Hodeidah port, a major power station, and oil storage facilities, as well as the Hodeidah International Airport – according to sources.

Initial reports suggest that several oil tanks caught fire as a result of the strikes, although the extent of the damage remains unclear.

According to “Israeli” Army Radio, the strikes were in response to a series of missile attacks launched from Yemen by Houthis, also known as Ansar Allah, which had fired three ballistic missiles “Israel” in the previous days.

Houthi-affiliated media confirmed that the attacks hit multiple locations, including the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Isa, along with power stations in the Al Khawkhah and Ras Kuthayb regions.
